Harold and Gina are graduates from Texas Tech as well as their four children. Harold is a long time member and elder at KBC dating back to the 80’s and has served primarily in the areas of high school ministry and Sunday school over the years. He has had a lifelong involvement with youth programs, including coaching sports, serving on the board of the local FCA adult chapter, Hill Country Youth Ranch, and Charis Hills Camp. He also serves on the board of the Texas Tech Alumni Assoc., Kerr. Co Mental Health Advisory Board, and is a Commissioner of Planning & Zoning for the City of Kerrville. He currently has a dream for a ministry to the mentally challenged of our area.
He likes Colossians 3:23-24 as truth to live by: “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men; knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.”
Chris Mcknight
Pastor/Teacher
Chris was born and raised in middle Tennessee and came to know Christ while on a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat in college. After graduating from Tennessee Tech University in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Administration, he moved to Chattanooga and worked in public accounting for three years as a C.P.A., his forty years in the desert.
During this time, two wonderful events took place in his life – God’s call to ministry and God’s gift of a wife. Chris and Kim married in 1990 and promptly moved to the Los Angeles area for him to attend The Master’s Seminary. He chose TMS because of their strong stand on the Scriptures, sound doctrine and expository preaching, combined with their focus of training men for pastoral ministry in a church setting. Chris graduated in 1994 by the grace of God and loving support of his wife.
Prior to moving to Kerrville, he served Calvary Bible Church in Joelton, Tennessee as Associate Pastor/Elder. While there he helped in all aspects of a new church and likes to call this the perfect follow up training to seminary. Chris began his ministry at KBC on July 2, 2000.
He enjoys watching the Spurs win championships, the Steelers play football, coaching his youngest, playing in the Hill Country rivers, fun time with their kids Caleb, Katie and Carson, date nights with Kim and reading, lots of reading. Being a husband, father and pastor are dreams come true for Chris. By God’s grace he wants to be faithful to his calling in all three areas.
The McKnight’s count it a great privilege to serve the body of Christ at Kerrville Bible Church and just being part of this family. They love living in Kerrville, “holding forth the word of life.”

Thad writes, “it is an honor and privilege to serve God and his people. It is a very humbling position and very edifying as well. My prayer is that God will use me to my fullest potential to serve His people, build His kingdom and glorify Him in all that I do.”
