The Staff

Chris Mcknight
Pastor/Teacher

Chris was born and raised in middle Tennessee and came to know Christ while on a Fellowship of Christian Athletes retreat in college. After graduating from Tennessee Tech University in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Administration, he moved to Chattanooga and worked in public accounting for three years as a C.P.A.

During this time, two major events took place in his life – the call to ministry and the gift of a wife. Chris and Kim married in 1990 and promptly moved to the Los Angeles area for him to attend The Master’s Seminary, led by Dr. John MacArthur. He chose TMS because of their strong stand on the Scriptures and sound doctrine, combined with their focus of training men for pastoral ministry in a church setting. Chris graduated with honors in 1994 by the grace of God and loving support of his wife.

For about five years prior to moving to Kerrville, Chris served Calvary Bible Church in Joelton, Tennessee as Associate Pastor and an Elder. While there he helped in all aspects of a new church and likes to call this the perfect follow up training to seminary.

Through a process involving the support of the other elders at Calvary, Chris decided in late 1999 to seek a full-time ministry position. Through contact with TMS, he found out about the need at Kerrville Bible. After a six-month, Spirit-led process on both ends, the elders and congregation called Chris to be their pastor/teacher.

He enjoys playing basketball, watching the Spurs win championships, playing in the Hill Country rivers, fun time with their kids, date nights with Kim and reading, lots of reading. Being a husband, father and pastor are dreams come true for Chris. By God’s grace he wants to be faithful to his calling in all three areas.

The McKnights count it a great privilege to serve the body of Christ at Kerrville Bible Church and they love living in Kerrville, “holding forth the word of life.”

Carol Jane Graves
Choir Director/Accompanist

Carol Jane Graves is the Choral Director and Accompanist for Kerrville Bible Church. She began serving here in October 2003. The Graves family moved to Kerrville from West Texas, where she grew up. Carol Jane’s family includes husband, Jonathan and daughter, April.

At the age of 17, Carol Jane realized God’s call to be available for His service in whatever way He chose. It has been amazing to see God’s faithfulness through the years and various churches. Her life verse is I Thes. 5:24, “Faithful is He who has called you, and He will bring it to pass.” Carol Jane has a Church Music degree from Southwestern Seminary, and she enjoys working at KBC! To God be the glory!

Jonathan Graves
Church Administrator

Jonathan joined the KBC staff in July 2011 after 16 years teaching secondary math in Texas public schools. He is a C.P.A. and holds a BBA from Angelo State University.

Jonathan has served as a deacon at KBC since 2006, and he joined the membership with Carol Jane in 2004. The administrator position is new so it is still being defined, but he believes his guide verse is Galatians 6:9-10 NASB “Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”

He enjoys his work for the body at KBC. Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

Brian Moss
Youth and Short Term Missions Director

After completing their MSPT degrees and finding a job w/ Peterson Hospital, Brian Moss and his wife Becky moved to Kerrville and joined KBC in 2005. He has been working with the youth since 2006 and joined KBC staff in 2012 as the Youth and Short Term Missions Director.

Brian was raised in a home with Christian parents and grew up regularly going to church. He enjoyed sports and music and was very involved in church, youth group, and mission trips. Brian recognized Jesus Christ, his Savior as a child, but struggled w/ junior high rebellion and periodic pursuit of worldly pleasures throughout high school and college. The Lord demonstrated His sovereign grace and mercy by not allowing him to continually pursue the world, but bringing him to a greater awareness of the beauty and worth of Jesus as His Lord and Savior. Throughout high school and college, Brian grew to know the forgiveness of God and the delight of worshiping Him throughout all of life, and now Brian has a passion to see the youth of KBC know God in a personal way, to understand His Truth in the Word, and live a life of real worship, with joy and satisfaction in God alone.

Brian loves being married to his wonderful wife, Becky and spending time with his 3 kiddos. He enjoys spending time with friends and youth, kayaking, camping, hiking, mountain biking, playing just about any sport, music, FOOD and backcountry dancing to bluegrass with his family…in their backyard, of course. He currently works as a physical therapist locally and part time staff at KBC. His passion for prayerfully understanding, applying, teaching and preaching the Word has grown tremendously during his time at KBC, and he treasures the Lord’s calling to teach his family and help the youth understand who God is, who they are, and what that all means in this vapor of life, so that God may be most magnified in us as we look to Him as our greatest delight and treasure.
