Thanks so much for this podcast and sharing your bible reading routines.

Do any of you have a regular study guide reference you use as you read the bible? And if yes can you share?

Also, Chris you mentioned an App you use to hear the word that you can regulate the speed. Pls share the App.

Hey Wayne,

I'm not a big fan of study Bibles. There's a glut of them on the market but I think they can actually hinder thought and understanding because it's so easy to just jump to the notes and see what they thought. What I tell people is that using a Study bible is like having a commentary built into your Bible. So I would just read the text and keep going even if something is hard to understand.

I like the YouVersion Bible app. Tons of translations and many of them have audio recordings that come with. Once you have a chapter pulled up to Read, Touch on the speaker icon at the top right area and the audio player comes up. At bottom left you will see the speed display of 1x. Click on that to change.
