Chris McKnight, Pastor-Teacher

I was born to John and Bettie in 1965, surprisingly born again in 1986 at an F.C.A. College Advance, married the sweet and beautiful Kim Duncan in 1990 and we finally made it to Texas a decade later! My first Sunday at KBC was July 2, 2000 and I have no idea what I preached. I do remember preaching through the Gospel of John for the next four years! Before Texas and Kerrville Bible Church, I spent four years at Tennessee Tech University (B.S. in Business Admin/Accounting in 1987), four years in CA at The Master’s Seminary (M.Div in 1994) and five years back in Tennessee as a bi-vocational Associate Pastor and Elder at Calvary Bible Church in Joelton, Tennessee.
We came to KBC with our three precious children, Caleb, Katie and Carson. They are now “grown and gone”. Caleb is married to Mary Catherine and lives in Round Rock. Katie lives in San Antonio. Carson is married to Katee and they live in Tyler, Texas.
Raising a family and serving KBC has been a little bit of everything but thru thick and thin, mountains, deep valleys and mostly routine days, God has proven Himself mighty, faithful and exceedingly kind to us. We feel deeply loved and appreciated. I’m more encouraged than ever by what God is doing here and pray to be faithful and fruitful until Jesus calls me home. KBC is our family and I’d love to keep doing what I’m doing until I’m 75, even 85 years old!
My interests include daily exercise, cooking and eating, reading history, biographies, theology, books on preaching and watching way too much football. Roll Tide! I love the Word, preaching, chocolate chip cookies and perfect bacon.
