Murray Van Gundy, Youth & Family Pastor
I was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1971. I did not grow up in a Christian home or hear anything about Jesus and the Bible. I came to faith in Jesus Christ on September 28, 1997 when He graciously saved a wretch like me.
I played golf at an early age that led to playing golf on a collegiate and professional level. God used that path to lead me to a much better and more fruitful path of full-time ministry. I have been a pastor since 2003 serving in youth, college, and mission ministry along with planting a The Anchor Church in El Paso in 2015. I have been married to my wife Katie since 1999, and we have two awesome children, Ella Grace and Quin. My family and I moved to Kerrville in June of 2021 where I became the Youth & Family Pastor at KBC. If the Lord so wills it, this will be the place we raise our children’s children! I love the Lord and His word… I love teaching His truth and equipping others, of all ages, to do the work of the ministry. I am a generational disciple maker at heart! I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, and occasionally getting back on the golf course. |
