The Joys of Justification: Reading Plan

On Sunday evening December 14, I challenged the church in response to Romans 5:1-5 to make their justification in Jesus the focus of their joy over the next three weeks. You can watch it here. Paul outlines 3 reactions of joy due to our justification in these verses.

To help make this our focus I have compiled a Bible reading plan with 5 passages under each heading to read throughout each week. Setting a passage before your mind each morning will infuse your heart with joy and set your mind in the right direction before you are bombarded by everything that is commercial and distracting.

Let’s show our kids that what Jesus offers is far better than Santa. Let’s remind our own hearts that our standing with God is more firm than the tumultuous days we live in. I’ve been struck afresh by the lines in O Holy Night 

“Long lay the world in sin and error pining, Till He appeared and our soul felt its worth”.

May our souls experience the immeasurable worth of Christ’s appearing this Christmas season.
