In this concise guide, pastor Mark Dever outlines the who, what, where, when, why, and how of discipling—helping others follow Jesus. Following the pattern found in Scripture, this book explains how disciple-making relationships should function in the context of the local church, teaching us how to cultivate a culture of discipling as a normal part of our everyday lives. Pick up your copy for $9 in the bookstore. WORSHIP SERVICE OVERFLOW Is in the Fellowship Hall. Our ushers will monitor the seating in the worship center and direct late-comers to the Fellowship Hall. Caring and secure ministry to children ages 0-3 is located in the Children’s Building during the worship service. Please check in at the children’s desk. MEN’S SUMMER BOOK CLUB – Brothers, join us Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30pm in the FLC. The study will be six weeks long starting on July 19 and will discuss The Preeminent Christ by Paul Washer. THE ESSENTIAL CHURCH – SPECIAL ADVANCE SCREENING – Join us on Sunday, July 23, at 7pm for a special advance screening of “The Essential Church”, a feature-length documentary that explores the struggle between Church and government throughout history. This story takes us to multiple countries and uncovers those who have sacrificed their lives for what they believe in. MEMORIAL SERVICE – Steve Richard Memorial service - Thursday, July 27th at 1:00pm in the WC. Light refreshments will be served in the FLC afterward. LADIES…Coming This Fall We Have Two Women’s Bible Studies: My Heart Unveiled, a tool to help you understand your heart as a follower of Jesus Christ, begins August 31 both Thursday morning and evening, AND Romans a study by Pastor Chris McKnight of the righteousness of God as revealed in the Good News of Jesus Christ, on both Monday pm and Tuesday am, beginning Sept. 18/19. Sign-ups begin July 30th. More information provided at a later date. KBC BOOKSTORE – Be sure to check out our new bookstore located in the foyer extension. Inside each book is an envelope with the price. Please place your payment (cash or check) in the envelope and drop the envelope in the box provided. LENDING LIBRARY - We have re-established our lending library located in the “conference/ counseling” room in the front office of the church. Books can be self-checked out anytime the church is open. Instructions are posted next to the bookshelves. Also feel free to use the library to read or study. We have a large number of Bible commentaries and Bible study resources. CHILDREN’S CHURCH – For children ages 4-6. Parents, please bring your children to the foyer when the dismissal slide appears on the screen. They will be escorted to the Children’s Building and must be picked up there by their parents immediately after the service. If they are attending for the first time please accompany them to the children’s building to register.
