Once again I can't thank you all enough for these podcasts. They're just so refreshing. And so helpful to see the lives of the men that God has given to lead us. And how the faith is worked out in daily life. I find these really helpful. I like hearing about the books that have helped you all.
I would add Who Am I by Chris McKnight. Chris's book on my identity and the sermons he preached on Who am I were pivotal in freeing me from the burden and misunderstanding of the law. The sermon series and that book are powerful for me. I listened to each sermon at least 6 times. I cried writing these sentences about how God used Chris' sermons and the book.
The Shadow of the Almighty by Elisabeth Elliot when I was a young believer in college, is such a powerful book. Talk about real!
And the Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom showed me the power, providence and sovereignty of God when the world is in chaos.

Yes, I agree about the value of these messages! I didn’t know about Chris’ book, but would like to read it.

I just finished Pilgrim’s Progress again and marveled at the relevancy of it today. J.C. Ryle and Spurgeon are favoite authors also.
